Who we are looking for:

We are seeking an Account Manager for one of our key clients, and associated partners, based in the USA. You will serve as the primary liaison between our client\'s business lines and your internal team at Catalyst. Your Catalyst team comprises designers, writers, interactive designers, developers, and project managers who will support you in surpassing our clients\' expectations in both quality and creativity of the communications and training materials we produce.

For the accounts you oversee, you will manage the materials we produce, the programs these materials enhance, pricing estimates, budgets, client retention, renewals, and relationships.

You will be at the forefront of our long-standing relationships with client representatives, forging new corporate connections grounded in trust, empathy, and collaboration. Your role involves delving deeply into our clients\' world, comprehending their initiatives, challenges, audience, and culture.

Your primary responsibility is to facilitate our client\'s work and amplify the effectiveness of their safety and loss prevention departments.

What you\'ll do:
  • Immerse yourself in our clients\' programs and culture to become the primary source of information both from our clients and your internal team.
  • Build robust client relations, understand the client\'s internal network, advocate for, and promote awareness of Catalyst.
  • Liaise with clients regarding day-to-day deliverables, from concept through to delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and your internal team, ensuring deliverables are of high quality, delivered on-time, and within budget.
  • Manage and engage in all client creative and strategic pitches, business reviews, photo/video shoots, and other pivotal program events.
  • Review, analyze, and present data reports, advocating for continuous program improvement.
  • Draft and present budgets and proposals to clients for new program components and renewals.
  • Coordinate with external vendors on timelines and budgets for various program elements.
  • Innovate by leveraging your knowledge of the diverse range of program tools and custom programs developed by Catalyst. Consult with team leaders to provide solutions to unique client challenges.
  • Business travel to the USA is required for meetings, summits, photo and video shoots, etc.
Education and experience requirements
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • A degree or diploma in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field; alternatively, equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Dropbox.
Core competencies
  • Ability to command a boardroom or a Zoom meeting and achieve desired results.
  • Willingness and capacity to travel to client locations in the USA approximately six+ times per year.
  • Proficiency in debating, answering challenging questions, and thinking on your feet.
  • Expertise in managing large, intricate programs in tandem with highly educated and seasoned professionals.
  • A continuous learning mindset.
  • A compassionate, empathetic approach combined with a robust sense of humor.
  • Solid experience creating program estimate(s) and work toward the budget(s).
  • A strong commitment to the team - recognizing that work travel can be taxing, you\'re always ready to dine with clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is an asset.
Value added competencies
  • Previous experience in a marketing or advertising agency is an asset.
  • Grocery or other retail experience is beneficial.
  • Experience with training and learning management systems (LMS) is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of the retail, health and safety, or food industry is beneficial.
Being a member of the Nexus/TSA Pre Program (or Trusted Traveler) is an asset.
