POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Account Manager is responsible for the management of the sales cycle, making cold calls to initiate contacts, managing relationships with existing customers, and collections if needed. The incumbent may also help execute regional strategy and tactics, such as, trade shows, lunch & learns, industry presentations, and other promotional activities, and will help to identify and evaluate new markets and business opportunities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pro-active selling to target customers
  • Re-active sales efforts on inquires generated from website, advertising, referrals, or other sources
  • Inputting and managing the company CRM and sales order system
  • Assist in developing company-related marketing material, including brochures, case studies, referrals, samples,presentations, and Tech Talks
  • Preparation of presentations and meeting materials to customers
  • Assist in preparation of annual sales forecasts and sales and marketing budgets
  • Identify and report on competitive products and market conditions through industry associations and networking.
  • Working closely in a cross-functional team with departments such as accounting, engineering, research and development, project Coordinators, and field services
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma with minimum of 3-5 years successful sales experience selling to end users in the oil and gas industry.
  • Technical sales experience with products used in pipelines, production facilities, gathering systems, production equipment, or products related to pipelines- coatings, chemicals for corrosion protection, etc (would be an asset)
  • Have a basic understanding of oil and gas production facilities and processes
  • Have an existing network of contacts in oil and gas producers including production managers and facility engineers
  • A relentless drive to succeed and the ability to identify the influencers within an organization will be extremely successful in this position
  • A strong aptitude for building relationships
  • Valid driver\'s license with the ability to travel as needed
