This Account Manager will be responsible for supporting account teams in financial communications, capital markets and special situations engagements for Edelman Smithfield in Canada. They will support the execution of client mandates and be given increasing opportunity to own client relationships, manage teams and drive planning. Their skill set will include strong competencies in financial and corporate communications, including the ability to counsel clients on financial media relations strategies, corporate disclosure, reputation management, and executive profile building, with an understanding of digital communications and social media. Ideally, candidates bring some exposure to special situations and transaction communications (M&A), corporate governance communications, or other investor communications, both during normal course business and special situations.
All candidates must demonstrate excellent writing skills, project management qualities and a track record of leading and executing successful client programs that measurably support clients\' business objectives. We need a confident, driven and detail-oriented individual who will cultivate both internal and client relationships and take initiative. \
