Missions and Responsibilities

The function and main purpose of this position is to achieve ALC's sales vision, while promoting safety, quality, proper application of procedures and programs and maximizing the impact of these actions on turnover, prices, competition and prospecting. The incumbent is responsible for gathering information in order to develop a market strategy and to manage and plan a territory. The incumbent is responsible for maximizing profitability, developing proposals and negotiating contracts, maintaining and increasing sales and service to ALC customers and providing support to the team in order to achieve the objectives set.

Your challenge at Air Liquide

  • Prospects the territory and analyzes the markets: Has a market development strategy and a vision of the competition strategy. Identifies and visits potential clients, establishes and maintains business relationships. Makes sales to prospective customers who are considering the possibility of buying from the competition and develops local markets for new applications.
  • Manages and plans the territory: Develops its business plan and sales strategy for its sector. Plans and organizes its activities so as to generate profitable growth and satisfactory results. Regularly uses the CRM to schedule customer visits, schedule an appointment, and follow up on day-to-day activities with existing and potential customers.
  • Drafts Proposals: Drafts business proposals and negotiates contracts. Writes clear, succinct and professional looking proposals that meet client needs.
  • Sells and negotiates: Identifies the information and decision-making structure of the client, its culture, its objectives. Knows the industrial processes, products or services of the customer. In accordance with the "Needs Identification" sales technique, puts out feelers and listens carefully to get a clear, precise and complete idea of the customers' needs. Obtains the commitment of the client, respects the procedure to follow if no conclusion is possible and closes the sale
  • Ensures customer loyalty: Develops a loyalty strategy. Is recognized as a force of proposal. Guide the customer's choice. Comforts and reassures the client. As the main liaison between the client and ALC, identifies problem situations and resolves problems.
  • Participates in teamwork: Knows the role of each member of the team. Demonstrates sensitivity to the needs and concerns of other members of the sales team. Provides the information, training and coaching required by making joint sales with them.
  • Acquire and improve their knowledge and skills: Presents an image of professionalism internally and externally by developing their knowledge and analysis of ALC products and services.
  • Quality/safety: Participates in the promotion of ALC's safety objectives
Competencies and Profile

Who we are looking for
  • Diploma: College diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in industrial sales
  • Training: Sales techniques, Quality System (ISO), CRM
  • Knowledge: Computerized systems, MS Office, products, services and applications, contract law, bilingualism, financial notions.
