The Role:
Boast is looking for a Senior Commercial Account Executive to lead and support the ongoing development of the QuickFund product. This role will report to the VP of Product and will primarily be responsible for growing the portfolio of clients who leverage Boast for their financing needs.

Required Skills:

  • High financial acumen and analytical skills
  • Excellent written communication and persuasive presentation skills
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and a can-do attitude
  • Ability to quickly acquire business knowledge and interpret customer needs
  • Effective negotiation skills with a consultative sales approach on closing
  • Thorough knowledge of working capital needs of early stage innovation companies in North America
  • Knowledge of standard commercial credit products and services, credit risk policies & standards


Responsibilities include:
  • Drive the entire sales process: targeting top prospects, identifying solutions, preparing proposals, negotiating and closing
  • Assume a lead role in qualifying inbound applications and funneling them into the sales process
  • Work towards exceeding sales targets and generation of revenue growth while adhering to the credit policies
  • Ongoing collaboration with the customer service and delivery teams
  • Accurate and timely input of all sales activities for self and team into CRM
  • Ensuring quality opportunities are presented by adhering to commercial lending processes, policies & procedures, legal & ethical requirements and regulations, audit requirements, and established risk guidelines
  • Provide industry knowledge and competitive market intelligence to identify and leverage new opportunities


Skills and qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, business administration or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years successful track record in financing sales/business development
  • Ability to understand financial statements, complex corporate structures and loan documentation
  • Exposure to company applications and papers
  • Strong working knowledge of excel, data analysis, financial analysis skills etc
