William Thomas Digital is building Canada\'s leading Digital Messaging and CRM consultancy. We are currently seeking an Account Director, CRM to plan and execute on all aspects of data-driven marketing and digital messaging campaigns. The Account Director, CRM will liaise between clients and cross-functional internal teams, lead the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs; and improve on the client-agency experience. The ideal candidate is able to identify customer needs, translate those needs into solutions and inspire internal teams, to deliver best-in-class work.

Responsibilities:

General Summary:

  • Responsible for the ownership of one or more core accounts/clients within a focused industry discipline
  • Act as a trusted advisor with senior client stakeholders (VP, Director, Manager) and internal partners
  • Support the Group Lead in developing value-added communications, thought-leadership, strategic counsel, industry knowledge to our client partners and internal team members
  • Be able to articulate with confidence and credibility your knowledge of your client\'s business, their industry and the work we do at WTD to help them achieve their business goals
  • Own and manage explicit revenue targets, pipeline of projects and overall financial success of your client(s) and project-level margins
  • Forecast short, medium and long-term revenue goals for your client(s) and the implications related to project dates, resource needs, etc.
  • Manage and oversee the development of proposals and SOWs that solve complex business problems for your clients
  • Manage and oversee all client deliverables and be on the front-lines with regards to meeting and exceeding all client expectations working with your delivery, technology and strategy partners internally
  • Lead the working team by acting as a leader who can generate excitement for our clients, work and agency
Planning and Strategy:
  • Support your Group Lead to develop the long-term vision for data-driven personalization within the overall context of your client\'s marketing communications plan
  • Contribute to the annual account planning process and its ongoing activities, success metrics, etc. for your specific client(s)
  • Be seen as a significant contributor to your assigned client(s) ongoing planning process and as a strategic partner that can help them solve their most complex business problems
  • Working with your Group Lead and internal SMEs to regularly lead and develop proactive strategic recommendations/presentations to achieve your client(s) marketing and business goals.
  • Regularly lead and develop proactive POVs on your client(s) industry including trends, competitive understanding and the impact that it has on your client(s) business
  • Manage and grow your book of business with existing client(s) and achieve your top-line revenue, overall profitability and other financial metrics/targets assigned to your client(s)
  • Manage with accuracy and in real-time your pipeline of work leveraging the CRM tools at your disposal
  • Lead, support and contribute (when necessary) any new business pursuits
Requirements:
  • 7-10 years of progressive CRM account management experience within an agency environment
  • Strong understanding of leading enterprise marketing technology and CRM data platforms
  • A strong understanding of an enterprise digital ecosystem and experience in digital transformation
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proven success leading and growing organic client business
