Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Access Control, Intercom & Networking Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Salto access control systems and Genetec Security Center, with the ability to install, configure, and support intercom systems. A strong foundation in networking (switching, VLANs, routing, PoE) is required, as many of our solutions are IP-based and tightly integrated into client networks.

This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, client-facing communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Salto access control systems and Genetec Security Center platforms.

Deploy, program, and support intercom systems in multi-tenant and commercial environments.

Design, configure, and troubleshoot network infrastructure (switches, VLANs, PoE, routing, Wi-Fi) to support access control and intercom systems.

Perform diagnostics and resolve issues across access control, intercom, and IP networks.

Integrate security and intercom platforms with surveillance, IT networks, and building technologies.

Provide client support, training, and technical documentation.

Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.

Participate in on-call support rotation as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years of experience in access control, intercom, networking, or security system installation and support.

Proven hands-on experience with Salto and Genetec platforms (required).

Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, VLANs, routing, switching, PoE, DHCP, DNS).

Experience with wiring, termination, and structured cabling standards.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and wiring diagrams.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills across both physical and IP layers.

Strong communication skills with a customer-first attitude.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.

Assets (not required but considered an advantage):

Certifications in Salto, Genetec, Cisco, Aruba, or other networking/security platforms.

Experience with firewalls and advanced network security.

Knowledge of surveillance platforms, DSPs, or building automation.

Provincial security license (if required).
