Job Title: Video Surveillance and Access Control Systems Installation and Service Field Technician

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Video Surveillance and Access Control Systems Installation and Service Field Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installing, configuring, and maintaining video surveillance and access control systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

Installation and Configuration:

Install, configure, and test video surveillance and access control systems at customer locations and construction sites. Ensure proper integration with existing security infrastructure and networks. Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues promptly.

Maintenance and Upgrades:

Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance of installed systems. Perform software and firmware upgrades as needed to enhance system functionality and security.

System Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to video surveillance and access control systems. Provide timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.

Customer Support:

Interface with customers to understand their requirements and address any concerns. Provide training to end-users on system operation and functionality. Respond to service calls and provide on-site support as required.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of installations, configurations, and service activities. Generate reports for customers and internal use.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct quality checks on installations to ensure compliance with industry standards and company guidelines. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical certifications in relevant fields (e.g., electronics, networking) are a plus.

Experience:

Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of video surveillance and access control systems. Familiarity with a variety of brands and models of surveillance and access control equipment.

Skills:

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in networking and IT concepts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Axis Certified Professional, or equivalent are desirable.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working at heights and in various environmental conditions.
