Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Student Services, the Academic Integrity Advisor plays a critical role in upholding academic standards and serving as both a subject matter expert and administrative lead on academic integrity matters in the Faculty of Arts and Science. The incumbent collaborates with faculty, staff, and institutional partners to ensure consistent and fair application of academic regulations. The Academic Integrity Advisor researches and contributes to policy development, education initiatives, and institutional reporting, ensures the Faculty remains responsive to evolving academic integrity issues, including those arising from new technologies and pedagogical practices.
This position acts as the first point of contact and resource for academic integrity questions and inquires. This position acts as a representative for the Faculty on committees related to academic integrity, appeals or other academic matters. Researches, develops, and recommends best practices for emerging issues related to Departure from Academic Integrity (DFAI), such as the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This position registers and tracks departures from academic integrity, and produces statistical reports. This position also approves student academic requests such as appeals, waivers, registration changes, or similar submissions, in accordance with established policies and procedures, and prepares a variety of communications including decision letters, briefing notes, and press releases.
