Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Abatement Worker to join our team in performing hazardous material removal and environmental restoration projects. This role involves working in challenging environments to safely eliminate contaminants, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment necessary for abatement tasks.

Duties

Safely remove hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead paint, mold, and other contaminants using specialized techniques and equipment Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment to perform demolition, removal, and disposal tasks Conduct cleaning and decontamination procedures to ensure work areas meet safety standards Assist with restoration activities post-abatement to prepare sites for reconstruction or occupancy Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during operations Prepare work sites by setting up containment barriers and ensuring proper ventilation during abatement activities Document work performed, including materials removed and disposal methods, adhering to regulatory requirements

Experience

Prior experience in cleaning, construction, or restoration is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques is a plus Knowledge of environmental safety procedures related to hazardous material removal is advantageous Ability to work in physically demanding environments and adhere to strict safety guidelines Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
