We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Abatement Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe removal and disposal of hazardous materials from various environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of safety protocols and have experience using both hand tools and power tools. Your work will contribute to restoring spaces to a safe and clean condition, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

Safely remove hazardous materials from residential, commercial, or industrial sites. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete abatement tasks. Clean and prepare work areas before and after abatement processes. Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Assist in the restoration of affected areas post-abatement, ensuring thorough cleaning and compliance with restoration standards. Maintain accurate records of materials removed and work completed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction, demolition, or abatement work preferred. Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools is essential. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines meticulously. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials. Knowledge of environmental regulations related to hazardous material handling is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing situations on-site.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Asbestos Abatement: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Asbestos Ticket (preferred)
Willingness to travel:

50% (preferred)
