About the Position



We are seeking an Abatement Supervisor to join our team of demolition and environmental abatement experts. As the Abatement Supervisor, you will oversee and ensure the daily progress of projects. This would include duties such as daily progress reports, assigning tasks to workers, prepping abatement and demolition work sites, preparing for inspections, ensuring compliance with provincial acts and regulations and completion of daily site safety documentation.

The position is full-time with jobs located within Edmonton and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:



Prepare and oversee job sites for asbestos abatement, mould remediation, and demolition activities. Safely operate and supervise the use of power tools, specialized equipment, and mobile machinery. Ensure project timelines are met while fostering a collaborative team environment. Manage and maintain site inventory, including equipment, PPE, and tools. Coordinate and communicate effectively with trades and subcontractors on site. Maintain a thorough understanding of, and compliance with, Alberta's Occupational Health & Safety Act and related regulations. Complete and oversee required OH&S site documentation, including daily field-level risk assessments, inspections, and incident reporting. Perform additional duties as required to support project success.

Qualifications



3 Day Asbestos Certificate required At least 1-2 years experience in supervising hazardous materials removal required Ability to lift 50 lbs unaided Valid drivers license required Strong leadership skills Strong communication skills Ability to multi task and stay organized in a fast paced environment Ability to perform strenuous physical labor Ability to work as an effective team member Ability to establish and maintain working relationships Fall Arrest Protection Certificate preferred First Aid Certificate preferred Supervisor Training preferred Mold Awareness & Lead Awareness Certificate considered an asset
