Taqqut Productions Inc. is an Inuit-owned film production company located in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Our films have screened at festivals in eighteen countries and have won over twenty international awards. With its film and television projects, Taqqut has established itself as an innovative leader in Northern youth and children\xe2\x80\x99s productions, and aims to preserve the rich storytelling culture of Inuit and the North. We are looking for 2D generalists to work in house to supplement our small team working on a number of projects including short films and television segments in a variety of styles. There is the opportunity to work at our Toronto studio and/or in the near future our Quinte West studio. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong animation skills and have an interest in multiple areas of production including layout, character/prop design, and storyboarding. Software Knowledge Required:

• Toonboom Harmony (Harmony Rigging is a huge plus)
• Photoshop
• Adobe After Effects is a plus

Required skills:

• Experience with rigged 2D animation
• Experience with design, layout & paint, and/or storyboards for a 2D production
• Able to switch between projects and art styles frequently
• Strong communication skills in discussing requirements, deadlines and quota with supervisors
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
• Able to take direction from supervisors
• Able to meet deadlines
