Job Description

We are looking for a Personal Support Worker to support a Quadriplegic male employer in all activities of daily living. A successful candidate will be someone who is enthusiastic about helping others, likes animals and enjoys quieter living.

Location:

Vanderhoof B.C (near Surprise Drive and Nulki Lake)

Shifts & Hours of Work:

3 weekdays (24 hours - morning routine, afternoon/lunch assistance and bedtime routine; approximately 9 hours of work a day) 8:00am start time

Compensation:

$255 a day or $765 per week

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

Daily personal care such as bathing, dressing, washroom care, grooming Assist the client with positioning and transfers using Hoyer floor lift Medication and Insulin administration Meal preparation and light housekeeping

Required Qualifications:

Caregiving experience is an

asset

CPR training is an

asset

Driver's License (Class 5 License) and vehicle is

required

Must be comfortable working in an environment with a medium sized dog

required

Comfortable with medical Marijuana (client smokes outside)

required

Willingness to be trained

required

Willingness to travel to the employers location

required
