Job Description

We are looking for a couple of Personal Support Workers to assist our male client in all daily activities.

He enjoys going to the movies, live music events, as well as healthy eating and going to cafes. He really likes deep discussions about life, religion and culture, and he enjoys writing poetry.

Location:

Vancouver (Near Central Park)

Shifts:

24 hour shifts available - 8am to 8am Sunday

Compensation:

$200 per 24 hours (probation) $250 per 24 hours after probation

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

Personal care such as bathing, dressing, bathroom care, grooming, catheter care, dental care Feeding pump & g-tube management Using portable lift for transfers as well as in-bed transfers Physical transfer requirements: Portable lift with the employer in a sling. Nonverbal communication and hard of hearing awareness one or two interventions at night (he has a call button on his bed, he hits it and an alarm goes off in caregiver room room).

Required Qualifications:

Caregiving experience is required Fully vaccinated Experience with G-Tube feeding, muscle spasms, physical therapy, medical background is a strong asset Experience with the hard of hearing is a strong asset
