Job Description

We are currently recruiting for Personal Support Workers to assist our male employer, who is Quadriplegic, in all activities of daily living.

He enjoys woodwork, good literature and listening to music.

Location:

Richmond (Near London/Steveston Neighborhood School Park)

Shifts & Hours of Work:

Sundays 24 hours; start time 7:30am

Compensation:

$490 per 24-hour shift

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

Activities of daily living including showering, dressing, washroom care and g-tube feeding Assist client with physio and range of motion exercises Accompanying client to physio appointments, the gym, and appointments as necessary Providing companionship Assist with Vent and trach care as needed (training available if needed) Assist with suctioning (as needed) Assist with transfers using ceiling lift Nighttime interventions (2-3)

Required Qualifications:

Must be physically fit 1-2 years of personal care/caregiving experience Must be pet friendly - have a dog and a cat Drivers License is a strong asset Non-smoker Willing to learn or have experience in vent, trach care and suctioning care Able to assist with physio and range of motion exercises
