Job Description

Inter-University Services, a consortium of four Manitoba universities (Brandon University, University of Manitoba, University of Winnipeg, and University College of the North) that offers university courses to students in northern communities is seeking a qualified Contract Academic Staff to teach the following

in person

three credit hour Brandon University course in Easterville, MB during the Fall of 2025. The instructor will be responsible for content and lab delivery with expectations consistent with offerings of this course within the appropriate department. Qualified candidates must possess strong teaching, communication and organizational skills, and demonstrate evidence of teaching effectiveness.


62:171 Introduction to Statistics



Descriptive statistics, frequency distributions, mean, variance, the normal distribution, probability theory, populations and samples, sampling distributions. Introduction to estimation and tests of hypotheses and simple linear regression.


Lecture

: Tues, Wed, Thurs Evenings September 16 - November 26 6:00 - 9:00 PM


Lab

: Tues, Wed, Thurs Evenings September 16 - November 26 4:30 - 6:00 PM


Qualifications:

Applicants should hold a minimum of a Master's degree in an area related to the topic of instruction. Applicants may seek to establish an experiential/traditional equivalency to the Master's degree and are invited to contact the individual below on how to establish equivalent academic or professional credentials.


Salary:

$10,476.00 (3 credit hour course + 1 credit hour equivalent lab)
