Full Time Operations/Capital Projects Coordinator
to join our team.
We are seeking an organized, proactive Operations/Capital Projects Coordinator to support the Chief Operating Officer and the Operations departments. Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Operations/Capital Projects Coordinator facilitates and coordinates department plans, goals, and initiatives as directed to ensure project initiatives are met while providing administrative support to various Operations Departments for the operation/maintenance of the facilities and assists in the execution of capital plan project deliverables. This front-line role combines administrative and hands-on project support: conferring with cross-functional teams, scheduling and facilitating meetings, preparing budgets and reports, assisting with annual operating and five?year capital planning, and helping execute capital projects from procurement and bid processes through on-site construction reviews and project controls. The Operations/Capital Projects Coordinator may occasionally be required to facilitate project deliverables and attend meetings for various operational or capital projects.
The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, Microsoft Office proficiency (including Project and Excel), and the ability to travel to various on-site project locations between the United States and Canada (Buffalo and Fort Erie).
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of a two (2) year College or University Degree (Canada or U.S.) specializing in Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field of study or combined relevant education and experience, and four (4) years' experience in an Operations/Capital Project Coordinator or facilities operations and maintenance or similar role. A Bachelor's Degree (Canada or U.S.) specializing in Business Administration, Construction Management, Construction Estimating, Architecture, Engineering, or related field of study or combined relevant education and experience, and seven (7) + years' experience in an Operations/Capital Projects Coordinator or facilities operations and maintenance or similar role with proven project management experience, leading design and construction related projects, in a public or private sector service- oriented organization is preferred. Additional certifications and designations in business administration, project management, construction management, construction estimation, facilities management, or professional engineering is preferred.

This position is located in Canada at the Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority Administrative Office in Fort Erie but is open to both U.S. and Canadian resident applicants. Employment is conditional upon and maintenance of a valid driver's license, international border crossing security clearance, and a NEXUS trusted traveler card (or the ability to acquire a NEXUS card if not currently enrolled in the program).
