The Capital Projects Coordinator & PM Analyst plays a dual role in supporting the successful delivery of the City's growing capital program. This position provides direct support to Project Managers (PMs) in the coordination and administration of capital projects, while also developing and implementing standardized project management tools, processes, and reporting systems. The role advances the City's commitment to sustainable infrastructure and community development.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys both detail-oriented coordination and systems thinking, and is passionate about helping local government deliver impactful infrastructure projects.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma, degree or designation in project management, engineering, public administration or a related field; or a combination of experience and education that illustrates your abilities.
2+ years of experience in project coordination, preferably in a municipal or infrastructure context. Experience with project management software and tools (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet, Excel, Power BI.)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Familiarity with municipal capital planning and infrastructure delivery is an asset. Experience working in a GIS environment is an asset.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools to support portfolio analysis.
