Duties:



Able to understand material requirements from drawings Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items Forwards available inventory items by verifying stock and scheduling delivery Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price, obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers, monitoring, and expediting orders Confirms receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered Resolves shipments in error with suppliers Develops and implements profitable purchasing strategies Assesses supplier profiles and analyzes offers based on price, quality, service, support, availability, production and distribution capabilities and the supplier's reputation and history.

Follow all company policies and procedures



Complete all daily 5S tasks



Qualifications:



Minimum of 5 years experience in a purchasing capacity Excellent Computer skills including Google Suite, MS Suite Proven experience and a deep understanding of purchasing contracts Excellent negotiation skills Strong verbal and written communication skills The ability to manage multiple vendor relationships Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset Outstanding organizational and decision-making skills Able to cooperate with team members and demonstrate a positive attitude * The ability to read and comprehend machining drawings and specifications would be an asset
