Role:

Our Client is currently seeking an experienced #101126 Administrative Assistant (Contract) in Edmonton, AB starting in November 2022 for a 6-month contract. There is a strong potential for extension at the client's discretion. The ideal candidate will have 3 years' experience as an Administrative Assistant (or equivalent) providing support with documents (proofing, formatting), record tracking in Excel, and coordinating meetings/schedules. You bring an awesome can-do attitude, strong administrative skills (MS Office), excellent communication, and a professional phone etiquette. General Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing various administrative activities.
  • Proofing and formatting word documents.
  • Pay invoices.
  • Assign and return accounts receivable.
  • Record tracking in Excel.
  • Order supplies.
  • Answer phone calls and emails.
  • Create documents and memos as required.
  • Organize events, coordinate Lync meetings and book rooms as required.
  • Copy, scan, fax, file and perform records management of physical and digital documents.
  • Process and review expenses.
  • Act as point of content for any clients.
  • Take meeting minutes.
Mandatory:
  • 2 years of experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • 3 years experience in related administrative support role.
  • 2 years experience in working in a role that requires exceptional communication skills (verbal and written).
  • 2 years experience in exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and be detail oriented.
  • 2 years experience in customer service.
  • High school Diploma is required.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must be available to work on-site in Edmonton.
Desirable (Nice to Have):
  • Experience with post-secondary education in administration
  • Experience with IMAGIS
  • Experience with PeopleSoft
  • Experience with ARTS
  • Ability to speak, read, write in a foreign language (i.e., Japanese, German, French, Arabic, etc.)
