What You Bring to the Table
Previous experience working in customer service
Previous experience working in outdoor activities and/or adventure tourism an asset
16 hour First Aid qualification required
Valid Driver's License
Be physically fit: able to lift up to 30lbs, be outdoors and on feet for majority of day
Positive, supportive, and respectful attitude - with both guests and team members
Flexible and adaptable - every day is different; every tour is different
Flexible to diverse working hours - early mornings, evenings, and weekends
Proven ability to communicate clearly
Your Days Will Look Like
Start each shift by checking in with dispatch for daily information, ensuring uniform and equipment readiness.
Thoroughly prepare for tours, inspecting all equipment, including avalanche/fire gear and helmets.
Welcome guests warmly at Cougar, setting a positive tone for a fun and safe tour, and providing necessary information.
Ensure every guest has everything needed for tour - adequate clothing and equipment. Be aware of any signs of weather-related issues or risks.
Follow established safety, radio, and operating protocols.
Escalate issues, concerns, or problems to the supervisor or dispatch in a timely manner.
Pay attention to details, such as keeping the site clean, and assisting guests and staff.
Check staff communication channels regularly for updates and information.
Contribute to TAG's dynamic team by assisting other team members and departments as needed.
