About the Role

The Mi'kmaw Cultural Foundation Inc. is seeking a motivated and community-minded Youth Ventures Coordinator to deliver the Youth Ventures program in Stephenville. This initiative helps local youth gain entrepreneurial skills by launching their own businesses, building confidence, and developing hands-on management experience.

The Coordinator will work closely with the Provincial Youth Ventures Association, follow program guidelines, and ensure smooth delivery of the 16-week program.

Key Responsibilities

Recruit and support youth participants in starting small businesses Provide guidance in business planning, administration, and marketing Identify and connect youth with mentors and community partners Organize events, presentations, and promotional activities to showcase youth ventures Manage the program site and prepare all required reports and participant surveys Attend mandatory Youth Ventures training sessions Carry out other related duties as required by the Delivery Site and Provincial Association

Qualifications

Experience in youth programming, entrepreneurship, community development, or business support is an asset Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of Mi'kmaw communities and culture is considered a strong asset Dependable, flexible, and passionate about supporting youth success

Schedule & Pay

Hours: 35 hours per week (primarily weekdays, some flexibility may be required) Rate: $17.00 per hour Duration: 16 weeks, Fall/Winter 2025
