Spirit of the Children Society's Youth Program is seeking energetic, motivated, youth-focused individuals to coordinate our summer programs for youth and tweenies aged 7-18.
Requirements:
Must be at least 15-30 years of age
Knowledge of Indigenous traditions and culture
Experience working with youth is an asset
Planning and facilitating recreational youth and tweenie activities
Researching and networking with youth-minded agencies to organize youth events
Strong leadership skills and a positive role model.
Outgoing and energetic
The position requires the ability to speak in front of large groups online and physically as well as communicate clearly and effectively.
Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with youth and youth team
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Contacting local businesses for donation of prizes that can be used for youth activities.
Creating promotional events and activities to reach the youth
Conflict resolution skills
Clear Criminal records check
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is an asset
Other Duties as assigned by Manager and Executive Director

This position is being advertised for funding under the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) initiative. The successful applicant is expected to work the full duration as required by CSJ.
