Title: Youth Programs Facilitators


Reports to: Sr. Manager, Youth & Public Programs


Hours: Part-time, on-call, $22/hr


Location: The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland



The Confluence is recruiting for one to two (1-2) Youth Program Facilitator

to support the Youth Learning team by filling schedule gaps. In this dynamic role, you'll lead evening and overnight programming for youth groups, and helping create a fun, engaging and educational environment for participants of all ages.

What will you do?



Work collaboratively with team members to set up, deliver and clean up after evening/overnight programs. Lead and modify programs and activities. Actively lead and engage with youth during their visit at The Confluence. Communicate professionally with adult leaders/guardians about program. Assess and manage risk while running activities. Respond in a professional and calm manner when resolving issues. React quickly and responsibly to emergency situations. Manage stressful situations calmly and effectively. Consistently follow program policies and procedures.

What do you need to succeed?



Minimum age requirement is 18 years old. Have at least three year of experience supervising children in a formal or informal learning environment. Current Level 1 Emergency First Aid & CPR Certificate. Having overnight program experience is considered an asset. Highly energetic, creative, and spontaneous, with contagious enthusiasm. Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations. Enjoy working with youth. Strong interpersonal, communication and decision-making skills. Knowledge of Canadian settler-colonialism history and Indigenous relations is considered an asset.

Availability Requirements



This is an onsite position, with availability required in the evenings (weekdays) from late February to June 2025 and overnight (weekends), February - April 2025. Evening Program shifts will be within the hours of 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm and overnight program shifts being 5:30 pm-10:30 am. Available at least 2 weekends a month and flexible weekday evening schedule. Free parking available on-site.
