POSITION:
Youth Outreach Worker
QUALIFICATIONS:
Family Service Nova Scotia is seeking a qualified individual who holds an undergraduate degree in Community Studies, Human Kinetics, Psychology, or Sociology, with experience working with youth and families. This is a permanent, full-time position.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Reporting to the Coordinator of Youth Services, the Youth Outreach Worker provides direct support to youth and helps connect them to community-based services and resources. The goal of this position is to help improve immediate and long-term educational, vocational, social, economic, and health outcomes for young people aged 16-24.
Persons considered for this position must have a clear police background check, and a clear child abuse registry check, and a driver's license.
