Youth in Transition Worker
Full-time, Term until March 31, 2026
It is the mission of Tungasuvvingat Inuit (TI) to broadly provide Inuit-specific programs that contribute to the health and wellbeing of Inuit and to encourage and support similar programs for Inuit across the country. With over 30 years of highly successful experience in crafting the design, development, and delivery of a wide range of effective, client-centered services, TI continues to deliver quality programs and services that directly benefit our growing urban Inuit population.
The Youth In Transition Worker (Anti-Human Trafficking) is accountable for delivering culturally relevant and trauma- informed support services to Inuit youth transitioning out of human trafficking situations or exploitation. This role involves developing individualized support plans, connecting youth with necessary resources, and promoting safety, healing, and well-being. The Youth in Transition Worker is responsible for maintaining confidentiality, respecting cultural practices, and adhering to program policies and procedures while ensuring that services are delivered with compassion, empathy, and a commitment to the values and principles of the Alluriarniq Program. The worker is also accountable for documenting all interactions and services provided, participating in ongoing training, and actively contributing to program development and evaluation.
