The Loft is a transitional housing initiative supporting youth aged 15-25 as they move toward lifelong independence. This is a Housing First 4 Youth Initiative run through Sunrise House. As a member of the housing team, you will provide high-impact, personalized support for youth currently residing in the transitional units:
Facilitate stable housing and transition planning
Provide system navigation and advocacy in education, employment, and health
Deliver trauma-informed, strength-based support using harm-reduction principles
Help youth build life skills, cultural identity, and community connections
Foster relationships with family and natural supports to ensure lasting outcomes
Who We Support
Our youth face complex challenges--many stemming from trauma, disconnection, and lack of safe relationships. The Loft is a low-barrier, inclusive space providing wraparound supports for:
Youth exiting homelessness or unstable housing
Indigenous youth seeking cultural reconnection
LGBTQ+ youth needing safe, affirming housing
Youth at risk of criminal exploitation or entrenched homelessness
Individuals navigating mental health and addiction recovery
