Are you between the ages of 18-30 and passionate about supporting youth? Do you believe in building inclusive, joy-filled spaces where kids can grow, play, and feel fully seen? The United Church of Canada - Chinook Winds Region is hiring a YOUnited Youth Team Leader to help lead exciting summer programming as part of our First Third Ministry programming (ministry with people in the first third of their lives).

What You'll Do:

Lead and support grade school-aged children in various faith-based and recreational activities (think pickleball, swimming, frisbee, and more!) Assist with youth-focused Sunday worship support (ritual/prayer participation not required/expected) Work collaboratively with the First Third Animator for Southwestern Alberta, serving Lethbridge and surrounding communities. Attend and assist with General Conference 45 in Calgary (August 7-11, 2025 -- travel, food, and accommodations covered) Help build an affirming, inclusive, and respectful environment for all children and youth
Who We're Looking For:

Ages 18-30 (requirement under Canada Summer Jobs program) Canadian citizen Committed to inclusive, affirming practices for all genders and identities Enthusiastic, energetic, and comfortable engaging in physical activity with kids Open to working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Membership in the United Church of Canada is not required, but familiarity with progressive Christian values and theology is an asset
Additional Requirements:

Having a clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check is a necessity for the successful applicant Having your own vehicle and first aid certification are considered strong assets
Job Types: Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 9 weeks

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
