Acuity premium ($1.00-$2.00/hr) depending on program area.
Shift premium ($3.00/hr) for all hours worked between 11:00pm and 7:00am
YFC-I Salary Range: $21.25-$27.95; YFC-II Salary Range: $22.06 -$30.26

Wood's Homes offers a premier training program (Wood's Academy) that includes three weeks of on-site training and development from experts in the field prior to starting as a Youth and Family Counsellor in a program. Employees leave Woods Academy with a fulsome understanding of their role and the theoretical models that are utilized in each program area.

The Role
The Youth and Family Counsellor is responsible for the direct care and treatment of children within our programs. Providing support and services that impact the healing and wellbeing of children, young people, and families through individualized case management, as well as the ongoing development of structure, routine, and goal setting within the program's therapeutic milieu.
The Youth and Family Counsellor works on a rotational shift schedule 4 days on/4 days off which includes days, evenings, weekends and awake overnight shifts, ensuring 24/7 coverage for the youth in our care.
