If you can deliver motivational speeches and action-planning workshops for a variety of audiences, especially middle, high school and university/college students and have a passion for working with youth, empowering them to become leadership ambassadors and help develop and hone their skills and knowledge to engage their peers and communities in taking action,

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver already written in-person and virtual educational and motivational speeches of 1 hour duration and workshops focused on combating SEC through the themes of prevention, youth empowerment, and leadership.
Making use of multimedia resources to engage students, and youth in other service facilities, as well as teachers and other adults.
Help with researching and writing content for revising presentations.
Coordinate and complete an array of administrative tasks relating to the above-mentioned school visits and outreach activities (coordinating scheduled presentations with educators and partners, inputting participant's data into database, distributing, collecting and recording pre and post survey data.
Maintain accurate records and reports of program activities.
Prepare year end summaries and evaluations to determine impact and assist in data analysis.
Serve as a youth ambassador and speaker before the media and at conferences, launches etc.
Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Help develop and implement youth programs and activities.
Campaigns and Communications
Assist Youth Coordinators with the following if and when required.
Design and develop student awareness, advocacy, fundraising campaigns, resource guides, videos, and trainings to educate and assist students.
Support the development of curriculum and tools on SEC and market to educators and parents.
Co-develop and co-organize special campaigns and events.
Create informative and inspiring web content for a youth audience and ensure quality digital user experience.
Develop social media content and tweak based on engagement, learnings and data.
Develop youth and adult newsletters.
Monitoring and Evaluation
Assist the Program Managers with the following if and when required:
Co-design and implement a monitoring and evaluation protocol that clearly assesses/measures the impact of youth- to- youth programming from the perspective of participants, teachers, administrators and the community at large.
Implement tools to regularly assess the impact and make adjustments as necessary.
Identify trends, gaps and opportunities for growth and produce reports to educate staff on the youth pulse around SEC awareness and action.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university or accredited College diploma--preferably in education, international development, political science, sociology or a related field
Excellent experience in public speaking- both in-person and over virtual platforms like ZOOM and Teams to large and small school audiences and others. May require presentations 1-3 times per day (mostly during regular school hours).
Experience in mentoring, coaching or mobilizing groups of young people and motivating them to take action and advocacy work is considered an asset.
Experience working with Microsoft Office Suites (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other social media platforms.
Ability to problem solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Dedication to youth leadership skills development
Highly self-motivated, eager to take initiative, independent, and a strategic thinker.
Ability to calmly manage multiple challenges and meet deadlines despite them.
Reliable, able to follow instructions and take responsibility for individual actions and honour commitments in a timely manner.
Working Conditions
A hybrid work model, with the employee requiring to establish and maintain a home office and come into the Corporation office as and when requested by the employer. Travel to schools or presentation venues is required.
Early mornings, evenings and/or weekends may be required to prepare, train for, and deliver domestic and international school presentations.
Domestic travel is required continuously. Some international travel, participation in the organization's youth conference or other events may be required.
Job Type
: A full-time (Monday - Friday) contract position of 3 months, with an opportunity for extension.
Salary:
$17.75-$20.00 per hour, commensurate with accomplishments, experience and qualifications.

o You are required to commute to middle and high schools and community partner facilities in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area and sometimes to a few other regions in Ontario or few provinces as well. Are you comfortable with being on the road or flying, when required for work? For business purposes, travel expenses (back and forth from the office in Richmond Hill to the location) will be re-imbursed or provided.
