Youth Care Worker
Job Description
We are looking for passionate people wanting a job in the youth care feild
The position requires the successful candidate to hold a valid drivers license
You must have First Aid and CPR certificate a clear criminal record, child abuse registery and vulnerable adult check.
NVCIS and ASSIST are a plus but not required immediately
The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting youth to work, medical appointments and any other appointments that need to be fulfilled
You would be responsible for the well being of 7 young people, ages 16-21. You will help guide them to learning new skills, cooking, budgeting, navigating mental health issues, work edicate and time management skills. You will spend time relationship building and demonstrating a positive outlook to get through hard circumstances
The successful candidate should be fluent in their ability to communicate, both verbally and written. You must have some computer knowledge skills and have the ability to communicate professionally with outside agencies
The position hours are 24 hour shifts, with a sleep period of 8 hours on site. 12 24s a month is considered full time and shifts are picked in sinority.
