Job Overview


Gold River Marina is a small marina located in Chester Basin, NS and we are looking for a committed and hardworking individual to join our Yard Services Team.

Duties



Pressure wash, hand wash, wax and bottom painting of boats Assist with hauling and launching boats of various sizes on the marine railway Repair or build floating docks as needed General labour around the yard such as moving masts and removing shrink wrap from boats, etc. General maintenance tasks around the yard Ability to perform occasional heavy lifting and work in varying weather conditions is required.

Experience



Boating knowledge or previous experience in the marine industry would be an asset but is not mandatory. Basic carpentry skills Basic mechanical knowledge, particularly with outboard motors would be considered an asset. WHMIS required or to be completed (cost covered by employer) within first month of employment
This is a seasonal position where you would work full time 40 hours from approximately mid-March to December. Typical hours are 8-4:30 however, some additional hours may be required during the busy hauling and launching seasons. Full healthcare benefits will be offered after a 3 month probationary period.
