Job description :

• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
• Assist Equipment Coordinators with daily Branch inventory control for all equipment and attachments
• Coordinate heavy equipment shipping, receiving and repairs and updates with the service department
• Ensure new and used machines leave the yard in good and safe working condition
• Provide digital pictures and all documentation of equipment entering and leaving the yard
• Organize, track and file all documents in a timely manner
• Ensure yard security is maintained
• Assist with other tasks as required including minor repairs to building, snow removal and steam cleaning of equipment
• Monitor the after-hours yard cell phone

Job Qualifications :

• Post Secondary Education and relevant work experience operating various types of heavy equipment
• Highly safety conscious with a solid mechanical aptitude or experience in automotive/truck/heavy equipment
• Knowledge of transport regulations would be highly beneficial
• Customer centric, self-starter with a strong business acumen and highly organized
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Sense of urgency and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Computer literate with exposure to Microsoft Office Applications and/or inventory systems
• Current comprehension of competitors’ equipment would be an asset
• A valid Driver’s Licence with a clean Driver’s Abstract
