Yard Coordinator
Job Description
At Wildstone, our yards are the central hubs that keep our projects moving. We're looking for a Yard Coordinator for our Whitehorse, YT yard - someone who thrives on organization, communication, and supporting our field teams by making sure they have the right materials, tools, and equipment when and where they need them.
This role is all about keeping day-to-day yard operations running smoothly while supporting multiple job sites with the materials, tools, and equipment deliveries they need to stay productive and on schedule. You'll act as a key communication link between our field teams, project teams, and third-party suppliers, helping ensure everything is coordinated and on track. At the same time, you'll take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized yard where parts, materials, and equipment are easy to find and ready to go.
What You'll Be Doing
Coordinating deliveries, receiving and verifying orders, reviewing packing slips Managing loads and delivering materials/tools to sites using a truck and trailer Managing the tool crib, including sign-in/sign-out, green/red tag systems, tracking defects, and helping control excessive repair costs Supporting field staff by ensuring sites are properly equipped, troubleshooting issues, and keeping the yard and facility clean and orderly
What We're Looking For
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with all levels of the organization Comfort juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment A valid driver's license with a clean abstract Confidence operating a light truck with a 30-ft trailer, and solid knowledge of loading and hauling procedures An organized, safety-focused self-starter with general knowledge of construction tools/materials
Experience and certifications to operate equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, or telehandlers would be an added strength. Knowledge of proper rigging and hoisting practices for safe loading, as well as a heavy haul or Class 3 license, would be great additional strengths to bring to the role.
