Can-Traffic Services is seeking a Yard Coordinator to support our warehouse and field teams. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, and keeping operations organized and running smoothly. You will help manage materials, equipment, and yard operations while supporting field crews and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

Safely move, stage, and organize materials, equipment, and shipments in the yard. Operate yard equipment including mini excavator, skid steer, and telehandler. Receive, verify, and prepare inbound and outbound shipments for field crews and job sites. Assist with warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, material assembly, and supplier pick-ups/deliveries. Maintain yard cleanliness and appearance, including seasonal tasks like lawn care and snow removal. Follow all safety procedures, actively participate in safety programs, and report unsafe conditions. Suggest improvements to yard efficiency, layout, and material flow. Perform other duties as required to support operations.

Skills and Abilities

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, adaptable, and self-motivated with strong communication and teamwork skills. Able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Comfortable working outdoors in varying and inclement weather conditions. Physically capable of lifting, pushing, and moving materials up to 50 lbs regularly. Sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Qualifications

High School Diploma with at least 2 years of experience in inventory, logistics, or yard operations. Experience operating small construction or yard equipment. Valid Class 5 Driver's License; Class 3 with Q endorsement is an asset.
