Key Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with established departmental procedures and safety protocols. Prepare patients for procedures, providing clear explanations and addressing any concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation. Position patients accurately for optimal image quality and minimal radiation exposure. Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring proper functionality and reporting any malfunctions. Verify patient identification, physician orders, and ensure all required documentation is complete. Accurately record patient information, examination details, and observations in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to infection control and radiation safety guidelines. Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and care.

Qualifications:

Current registration and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO). Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiation Technology program. Demonstrated proficiency in performing a wide range of diagnostic X-ray procedures. Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and practices. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. * Proficiency with relevant computer systems and PACS.
