As a member of a Multidisciplinary Health Care team, co-ordinates, performs and evaluates Diagnostic Services examinations within the discipline of general X-Ray and CT, may support other modalities based on qualifications. As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered X-Ray Technologist coordinates, performs and evaluates diagnostic imaging examinations. Guides and directs clinical and technical associates and students in a teaching and research environment and provides patient care within the core values of respect, caring, innovation and accountability. Rotation though other modalities and sites based on qualifications and unit requirements maybe required.Qualifications1. Graduate of an approved training program in Radiological Technology2. Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologist of Ontario3. Current BCLS registration4. Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment5. Demonstrated effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills6. Effective problem solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced clinical environment7. Evidence of participation in ongoing education & professional development8. Membership in the CAMRT/OAMRS preferred9. Minimum 2 years hospital experience preferred10. Previous CT experience preferred11. CT Imaging Certificate preferred12. Minimum 2years recent experience as practicing Mammogragher considered an asset13. Certified with Ontario Breast Screening Program considered an asset14.
