Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Duties

Prepare and position patients for X-ray examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. Operate X-ray equipment to capture high-quality images as per physician's orders. Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging results and related documentation. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging findings and assist in patient care decisions. Adhere to safety protocols, including radiation safety measures, to protect patients and staff from unnecessary exposure. Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and reporting any issues promptly. Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and best practices in patient care.

Skills

Proficient understanding of medical terminology related to radiology and imaging procedures. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow precise instructions for imaging protocols. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach towards patients. Knowledge of safety regulations related to radiation exposure and infection control practices. Strong organizational skills for managing patient records and maintaining equipment logs.
