The Workshop Foreman (herein after referred to as the "Foreman") is involved with supervising the work in the shop to ensure it is done in a safe, clean, and cost-effective manner. The Foreman will also ensure that goods and services are produced with excellent quality by ensuring we abide by the quality standards in our ISO manual.

Job Duties:



Ensure all mechanics are working in a safe manner

General supervision and support of:

o Production Assemblers both BEV and Diesel

o Component repair Mechanics.

o Shop Service Mechanics

o Field Service Mechanics.

Ensure mechanics are using proper work order numbers

Make sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality by performing the PDI either alone or with the assistance of shop personnel

Updating all audit/PDI forms to keep status current

Monitor parts required for jobs to ensure a smooth flow during production, service and or remanufacturing

Monitoring product standards and implementing quality control programs

Work with Production Manager and Service Manager to implement the company's policies and goals

Identify training needs and put on courses to train mechanics and customers

Ensure all parts used on a job are charged to that job and returns are recorded properly prior to the job being closed

Communicate with vendors regarding technical issues

Assist in repairs and troubleshooting/problem solving on units

Follow up on non-conformances and ECR's

Assist with building maintenance such as cranes, forklifts, bay doors etc.

Requirements:



5 or more years of experience in equipment assembly and or repair shops for mobile mining equipment

HDEM Licence

Deep knowledge of the repair and overhaul of Dana and Carraro components would be an asset.

demonstrated ability to work with shop personnel and motivate them to complete tasks on time with good quality standards

Ability to develop and teach training programs for employees and customers including Safe Operating Procedures

Workshop Floor and Field environments. Job Type: Full-time Day shift (7:00am - 3:30pm), (5 x 8hr days)
