We're looking for a WorkSafe BC OFA3/Advanced First Aid Attendant with at least 1 year of prior OFA3/AFA worksite experience to join our team at New Afton Mine in Kamloops, BC.

Responsibilities
Working together with 1-3 coworkers, you would be responsible for a variety of First Aid duties.
First Aid/Medical First Response
Administer First Aid in accordance with WorkSafe BC's Advanced First Aid Attendant scope of practice, including referrals to outside medical treatment
Record and report incident information as per established protocols
Liaison with local fire, ambulance, or police in case of emergency
Visitor Support
Visitor check-in
Visitor PPE assignment
What We're Looking For
Certifications:
Unrestricted BC Class 5 Driver's License with a clear abstract (equivalent from another province can also be accepted with conditions)
Valid WorkSafe BC Advanced First Aid (AFA) Certification (formerly called WorkSafe BC Occupational First Aid Level 3/OFA3), or equivalent
*The following can be accepted in place of a WorkSafe BC OFA3/AFA certificate:
Valid Emergency Medical Assistant (EMA) License issued by the Emergency Medical Assistants Licensing Board of B.C. (EMALB)
Valid 40-hour Occupational First Aid completion certificate from another province, with conditions
Professional Experience:
Proven background in Occupational First Aid or medical first response within industrial, construction, or similar high-demand environment
Additional Requirements:
Clear criminal record
Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Located in or near Kamloops, BC (this is not a fly-in/fly-out position)
