We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Development Manager to lead our growth initiatives and foster strong business relationships. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving project development, expanding market presence, and enhancing customer engagement. Core Purpose
The Workplace Development Manager plays a key role in fostering a positive, productive, and high-performing culture across all departments at Marble Mountain. This position is responsible for developing and implementing workplace strategies that enhance employee engagement, training, retention, and performance, while also supporting the resort's human resources functions. The Workplace Development Manager works closely with the General Manager to ensure all HR practices, training programs, and employee relations initiatives align with Marble Mountain's operational goals, brand standards, and commitment to a safe, inclusive, and team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
?Develop and oversee employee onboarding, training, and professional development programs.
?Support recruitment and selection processes in collaboration with department leads.
?Advise management on human resources policies, employee relations, and compliance matters.
Implement strategies that promote engagement, performance, and retention across departments.
Assist in performance evaluations and the development of career progression plans.
Coordinate and facilitate team-building, leadership, and safety training initiatives.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of personnel information.
Support workplace wellness, health and safety programs, and culture-build
Qualifications & Experience
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience in a people management, HR, or training and development role is a asset.
Strong understanding of employment standards, workplace health and safety, and HR best practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
Proven ability to lead initiatives that improve workplace culture and employee engagement.
Proficient in MS Office and comfortable with HR or scheduling software.
CHRP designation or ongoing pursuit considered an asset.
