Job brief



We are currently looking for a

Supervisor

to join our Food Manufacturing facility based in

Brantford,

Ontario. In this position, you will be responsible for supervising and working along with employees on the floor 6 to 9 hours per day and to submit various reports to Facility Manager as required in a timely fashion. To ensure security, safety, food specifications, quality assurance of products, sanitation, HACCP and Canada Health regulations are followed. Adhering to labor/food allocations will be a key performance indicator.

This is a physically demanding job, requiring long hours on your feet, lifting boxes of 20kg, using lift trucks to pull 500kg palettes on and off a truck

Duties

:

Responsible for all duties related to

shipping and receiving

, such as preparing product for shipping, ensuring all required paperwork / BOL's are accurate and accompany the product, verifying quantities and condition of inbound goods Ensure a high-quality production standard is followed. Make sure all lines meet their respective shift goals within the corresponding timeline. Maintains Company policies and procedures as well as specification books for customers and serve as a knowledgeable resource relative to those policies. Understanding the HACCP flow and capabilities of the manufacturing plant Submitted timely reports to the Production Managers on production allocations. Ensure line runs follow labor allocations and ingredient allocations. Investigate lines to maintain the efficiency of each product. Responsible for safety, quality and compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures. Assist the Production Managers in maintaining the team of employees and the manufacturing facility with proper GMPs, safety and production schedules. Function as an Ambassador for the manufacturing facility.

Qualifications:



3-5 years in High Volume Food Production in

Poultry processing

(Tumbling, injecting, and handling). Strong written and verbal communication (English) Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. Supervisory experience is an asset. Ability to adapt positively to changing and stressful situations. Knowledge of GMP and HACCAP is necessary. Knowledge of BRC is an asset. The facility runs 365 days per year; must be able to work weekends and holidays. Regularly, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts to 8+ hours. Required to lift 23 kg.
