Overview:



The

Workforce Research Analyst

plays a key role in helping employers build equitable and future-ready workplaces through evidence-based strategies. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting both quantitative and qualitative data to uncover workforce challenges and highlight best and emerging practices. By transforming data into actionable insights and compelling narratives, the analyst will create and deliver resources that support inclusive hiring, retention, and organizational strategies.

Key Responsibilities:



Conduct internet-based searches to identify, evaluate, and compile relevant literature, reports, and data sources.

Research industry and labor market trends to inform workforce development efforts. Support team members in developing and delivering inclusive, evidence-based resources for employers and industry partners.

Design and implement surveys to gather meaningful data aligned with specific project objectives.

Apply quantitative research methodologies to collect, analyze, and interpret data in support of evidence-based decision-making.

Perform statistical analyses and present findings through clear visualizations and written summaries.

Prepare comprehensive reports that effectively communicate research results and offer actionable insights and recommendations.

Coordinate and conduct key informant interviews to gather in-depth qualitative insights.

Support the planning and delivery of focus groups. Contribute to the analysis and interpretation of qualitative data.

Track key metrics and continuously improve and update materials based on employer feedback, research, and impact data.

Qualifications and Requirements:



University degree or college diploma in a related discipline, combined with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Strong research and analytical skills; able to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights. Exceptional communication and presentation skills; skilled at conveying information clearly to diverse audiences. Excellent project management and organizational abilities; able to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Proficiency in virtual platforms and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team. Related experience in the not-for-profit sector, with women centered organizations, or other underrepresented groups is considered an asset. A Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check is required upon employment and every two years thereafter.

Primarily remote/flexible, with in-person meetings and facilitation as required. Engagements typically occur during standard working hours (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday), though some flexibility may be required.

Travel may be required for employer engagements, focus groups, and industry events. Travel expenses will be covered in accordance with organization policies.

Salary & Contract Details:



Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per annum, prorated to contract term. This is a contract position until March 31st, 2026, with the possibility of extension, depending on funding and organizational needs.
