We have an immediate opportunity at DORA Construction Ltd for a

Workforce Manager

As the Workforce Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Operations team to ensure that skilled personnel are effectively scheduled and deployed to meet project demands. In addition to workforce coordination, you will oversee the management of company assets, tools, and equipment--ensuring they are available, functional, and utilized efficiently.

This role is critical to align Carpenters, Apprentices and Labourers and physical resources in a way that maximizes productivity and operational efficiency.

Construction Workforce Management

Strategic planning, coordination, and deployment of staff to ensure construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with HR and Operations to anticipate labor needs for upcoming projects.

Scheduling: Develop efficient schedules to ensure the right personnel are assigned to the right tasks at the right time.

Time & Attendance: Monitor employee hours, manage leave, and approve biweekly payroll with a focus on accuracy.

Skill Management: Align worker skills with job requirements to optimize performance.

Performance Evaluation: Support the assessment of employee performance and development.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and labor laws.

Construction Asset Management

The systematic acquisition, tracking, maintenance, and disposal of physical assets, including equipment and tools--to support construction operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement: Evaluate project needs and acquire appropriate assets.

Tracking & Monitoring: Utilize technology (e.g., Procore) to log and monitor asset location, usage, and condition.

Maintenance: Conduct or arrange for regular maintenance to prevent equipment failure and ensure readiness.

Disposal: Determine when assets should be upgraded, replaced, or retired.

Requirements:



5+ years of experience in workforce coordination, scheduling or operations management

Experience working in or supporting construction projects and labour forces. Previous experience working in a diverse environment is an asset

Familiarity working with projects timelines, labour demands and tool knowledge.

Strong communication skills and

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
