We are looking for Work Package Controller based in Montreal who will support FPM and the Project in our dynamic team. We deliver a Turnkey project to our customer REM with dedication to sustainable and smart mobility in the field of design, engineering, installation and test & commissioning. What are my responsibilities?

Cash Flow, Cost and Revenue Margin Management

• Assist the Lead Finance Project Manager to monitor and forecast cash flows arising from the project, setting control environment for the cash management to optimize cash flow
• Prepare monthly analysis of actual cost incurred and compare with the Forecast and analyzing the Gaps
• Assist the Lead Finance Project Manager/Project Managers in forecasting the correct cost incurring and more importantly the timing of cost incur
• Co-ordinate with Supply Chain department regularly to monitor the cost progress
• Monitor the extra Cost of the project which are subject to claim and have regular meetings with the Claims Department to follow up
• Monitor & forecast revenue and gross margins arising from the project, setting control environment for the revenue and margin management
• Contribute to the optimization of financial performance of the project
• Provide transparency of financial elements consolidated in the project vs project completion forecasts
• Ensure industrial and manufacturing risks are properly assessed and mitigation plans in place
• Follow financial results of action plans for costs reduction
• Identify cost saving opportunities and prevent and alert of any deviance vs budget and forecasts
• Reforecast cost to completion as appropriate and recon ciliate budget figures
• Follow up and control costs to completion
• Follow work in progress versus targets and Check costs against objectives
• Validates data accuracy and cost valuations (hours, hourly rate, purchase costs, calculation, allocation of fixed or unabsorbed cost to projects
• Propose actions to reduce costs

Reporting and Coordination

• Assist Lead Finance Project Manager to prepare monthly reporting and financial project reviews to top management and submissions to customer
• Work closely with Lead Finance Project Manager, local accounting teams and central controlling teams
• Act as an interface with Operations especially budget owners on follow up of cost evolution related to the project, cost reduction opportunities
• Alert of any cost drift and productivity deterioration

Financial Administration

• Ensure that supply chain validation flow is strictly compliant with internal rules
• Respect and apply projects processes and tools

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• a Degree holder either in finance or accounting with financial qualification
• 3 years of experience in project accounting
• Working experience in SAP is a plus
• Ability to interpret business related data
• Well-developed communication skills and good presentation skills
• Affinity to finance and numbers and good knowledge in MS Excel
• Good analytical as well as problem-solving skills
• A good team player, with good interpersonal and communication skills
