Consider joining Facility Maintenance Services as a Word/Data Processing Clerk II!

We are looking for an independent and self motivated individual with excellent data entry skills to support this section within Fleet and Facility Services. Accuracy and an aptitude for numerical detail are key to success in this position as you will be responsible for accurately entering data information from various sources into key systems for the Section.

  • Create and update purchase orders as requested
  • Follow up with Accounts Payable inquiries
  • Consult with operations staff to resolve any accounts payable issues with invoices
  • Work in SAP systems, specifically Plant Maintenance, ECC, ARIBA and other corporate systems
  • Perform calculations such as GST, etc. as needed
  • Investigate and clear Ariba exceptions
  • Prepare and update Vendor Control Agreements balances for operational staff
  • Perform biweekly review of time entry data and consult with Forepersons to validate and make corrections
  • Enter and reconcile credit card receipts in Centre Suite
  • Create and manage work orders using SAP Plant Maintenance
  • Perform other related duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Completion of Grade 12 including business subjects with emphasis on general office practices, or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college
  • A minimum of two (2) year\'s diversified experience in general office practices and procedures including assisting in the instruction of less experienced staff and experience with financial and/or payroll functions
  • Proficiency in the use of SAP - Plant Maintenance, Ariba, ECC, and SAP-CAT2
  • Proficiency in Centre Suite (VISA)
  • Must have data entry skills at a minimum of 40+ WPM with a high degree of accuracy for entering, updating and correcting various databases
  • Demonstrate the ability to self manage workload and work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work successfully in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks with set timelines and adjust accordingly when unexpected priorities emerge
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel
  • Travel between Westwood and the South Shop and South Office may be required
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 driver\'s licence (or provincial equivalent). Must obtain business auto insurance for personal vehicle use while on City business

Up to 1 temporary full-time position for up to 11 months

Hours of Work: 33.75 hours per week
The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time. Any changes will be made in accordance with the City of Edmonton/Civic Service Union 52 collective agreement and the incumbent will be notified in advance.
Salary: $23.664 - $29.385 (Hourly)
