Reporting to the Women in Trades (WIT) Project Manager, the WIT Project Coordinator will assist in the administration of the Women in Trades Project, promote the WIT project within the community, aid project staff and participants, and maintains client and program information using spreadsheets and or database software.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of FPDI and more specifically the objective of the Women in Trades Project
Build an understanding of the needs of women pursuing a career in a Red Seal trade
Develop tools to support women pursuing a career in a Red Seal trade
Working with women entering the trades, develop and monitor support plans
Provide input into planning tools for the project
Collect, analyze and use data and feedback to identify opportunities
Compile reports
Recommend best practices
Proactively solve conflicts and address issues that may arise
Act as a positive representative for the FPDI Women in the Trades Project
Provide input into the planning and delivery of networking events designed to support women in the trades
Coordinate events and career fairs
Conduct research on potential events to participate in and current strategies around skilled trades
Working with marketing coordinator to execute promotion campaign, including social media management and video promotion
Follow up with participants, keep track of success stories, and keep the lists current
Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education
A certificate in Business Administration or Communications or demonstrated relevant experience
Minimum of two years of experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent working knowledge about Red Seal Apprenticeship Programs
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Excellent computer skills and ability to use relevant software
Skilled in working with individuals and developing mentoring supports
Customer-oriented attitude

Travel for meetings at various locations will be required

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
