Purpose



The Security Supervisor is responsible for leading all daily security operations throughout the park, including patrol, guest screening, access control, emergency response, and team leadership. This position ensures a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests and employees by actively supervising Security Officers, coordinating incident response, and enforcing park policies, safety standards, and applicable legislation. The Security Supervisor oversees team deployment, performance standards, operational readiness, and documentation of activity throughout the shift. The role requires a strong presence in the park, excellent judgment under pressure, effective communication, and the capacity to maintain professionalism and guest service while addressing safety concerns, rule violations, and emergency events.



Key Responsibilities



Supervise Security Attendants and Access Control Attendants, providing direction, deployment, coaching, and real time performance support. Conduct daily briefings to communicate operational priorities, risks, staffing allocation, and service expectations. Ensure proper coverage at all security and access control points, including bag check, staff entrances. Respond to emergencies including medical events, disturbances, lost guest(s), theft reports, and security incidents. Act as the incident lead until senior management or law enforcement assumes control, ensuring calm leadership and accurate communication. Identify safety risks and operational hazards, initiating corrective action and reporting as required. Oversee guest screening, bag checks, and restricted items procedures at park entry points Ensure employee check in procedures are followed, including ID verification, bag checks, and authorization for entry Maintain and enforce standards for controlled access to backof-house and secure areas. Submit maintenance or safety alerts for immediate hazards or recurring concerns Complete accurate reports including: Incident details Trespass documentation Daily activity summaries Shift logs Witness and employee statements Ensure staff operate in accordance with: Trespass to Property Act Criminal Code of Canada (Section 494) Mental Health Act Privacy and information security expectations Park policies and procedures Perform additional responsibilities as required to support departmental and park-wide operations. Management reserves the right to adjust responsibilities based on emergencies, workload changes, staffing levels, or operational needs.

Ability to balance guest service with enforcement responsibility.

Qualifications



Valid Ontario Security License Previous experience in security, public safety, law enforcement, military, or theme park operations preferred Experience leading teams or shift operations strongly preferred Knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act, Criminal Code Section 494, and Mental Health Act Strong written and verbal English communication skills required. Valid First Aid/CPR certification an asset Valid Smart Serve Certification is an asset

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. This position requires occasional work in or around water, confined spaces-cramped quarters, heights, noise, detergents/chemicals, mechanical hazards, moving objects, fumes/odours, dust, mists, gases, or vibrations. The noise level is generally moderate.
