for a

winter seasonal position from now until April 30

(option to continue employment through summer landscaping season)

This is an

on-call role during snow and ice events

. Operators who can also help with other tasks (shovelling, salting, shop work, etc.) will have opportunities for additional hours.

Must Have - Class 5 License with Air Brake Endorsement

We are seeking a skilled Skid Steer Operator to join our team for the winter season. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating skid steers and transporting equipment to each site on a trailer, efficiently and safely.

Duties/Responsibilities

Operate skid steer to clear snow from roads and parking lots. Load/Unload equipment from trailer, and transport to and from all sites. Conduct routine inspection and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance Conduct safety checks before and after operations to prevent accidents or equipment failure Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations Maintain a clean and organized work environment around machinery and tools

Requirements

Valid

Class 5 Licence and Air Brake Endorsement

(Class 3 is an asset) Prior experience operating skid steer and trailer or similar equipment Mechanical knowledge related to machinery to perform basic repairs, routine maintenance and troubleshooting Availability to work on short notice Availability to work over night Ability to get to the equipment yard in a timely fashion Ability to work outdoors in cold weather Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
